CACI International Information Security Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide Cyber Security support for the International Trade Administration (ITA) Security Operations Center (SOC). The ITA SOC monitors, analyses, and responds to information system threats and vulnerabilities affecting ITA and ITA information systems. The successful candidate performs monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on Intrusion Detection, Intrusion Prevention, and Data Loss tools as well as other cyber security tools.

Exhibit strong analytical and diagnostic skills
Applied security support familiarity with operating systems, networks, productivity software
Ability to apply information security foundations to complex network architectures
Understand the architecture of systems and network including identifying security controls in place and how they are used
Understand security issues associated with operating systems, networking.
Maintain a current understanding of security issues and vulnerabilities to information systems, especially cloud service hosted systems
Apply a holistic approach to issue identification and problem resolution
Ability to work methodically and is very detail oriented
Be able to understand and forensically demonstrate attack execution
Ability to apply active listening skills especially with customers
Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts both written and verbally
Excellent presentation and communications skills to effectively communicate with management and customers
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree, or a related Technical Certificate from a Technical School or recognized Vocational Program. In lieu of education an additional two years of experience is required;
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Security+, Advanced Security Practitioner Certification (CASP), or related security certification.
Five years of experience providing technical network and/or network management support, with knowledge and understanding of applicable technical concepts and practices;
Experience providing information security/cyber security support;
Technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems Microsoft Windows, (UNIX and Linux is a plus);
Able to process email for SPAM, Phishing, and data loss control;
Knowledge of application whitelisting control, using Carbon Black/Bit9 specifically, is a plus;
Experience with device control management tools (usb);
Experience with antivirus solutions is a plus;
Basic understanding of US Government security regulations and methodologies, FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST special publications; and
Must be willing to support occasional weekend work.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Working knowledge of Carbon Black/Bit9; and knowledge of BurpSuite, Nikto, ad Nessus Tenable vulnerability assessment.
