MTEQ is seeking a Program Control Analyst with extensive knowledge and strong communication skills to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Lorton, VA Office.


MTEQ is seeking a Program Control Analyst with 3 - 5 years’ experience to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Lorton, VA office. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following. Program set ups and maintaining detailed budgets based on: contractual requirements, top-level budget allocations, labor and other resources, and schedule parameters. Perform analyses and prepare reports supporting the program management function. Monitors and ensures availability of funding and appropriateness of funding commitments by maintaining and analyzing accurate, detailed records of expenditures and commitments. Monitors and incorporates contractual changes into cost and schedule baselines. Completes and submits monthly reports to the government customer. Ability to support and manage multiple contracts as well as multiple program managers with the tracking of contract financial's. Manage and maintain monthly subcontractor invoice submissions, while making sure all subcontractor invoices are accounted for and processed appropriately and accurately. Support Program Managers with timecard approvals and submissions. Perform bimonthly timecard analysis. Must be a strong communicator and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.


  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management

  • Experience with MS suite including but not limited to Excel and PowerPoint

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, Sum If statements, and VLOOKUPS)

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work within a team

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience with corporate finance and accounting systems or software (e.g., JAMIS, Cognos, CostPoint, SAP)

  • Experience with creating and maintaining EAC's

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple programs under tight deadlines


  • Knowledge of contract types including FFP, FFP LOE, T&M, and CPFF

  • Knowledge of Far, DFARS, and GAAP

  • Knowledge of ETC’s

  • Ability to budget, forecast, and plan for multiple programs

  • Working knowledge of JAMIS financials as well as Cognos Impromptu

  • Working knowledge of Etime (timecard submission platform)

  • Ability to adapt and take on new and growing responsibilities when necessary
