Under general supervision is expected to perform a variety of clerical and patient assistance tasks, including some registrar and receptionist duties.To interact with patients, families, and staff to facilitate service, answer questions, provide emotional support and maximize customer satisfaction in the third floor family waiting room and the units it supports. This position greets each visitor present in the family waiting room, introduces themselves and their role and offers assistance as needed. Escorts visitors to the patients bedside and monitors time of the visit if requested by the Nursing Staff. Greets each physician entering the waiting room. Assists with identification and or locating visitors of the patients. Informs the physician if visitors have questions regarding the patients.
